Account Owners change their dealer group's AutoBook plan, update the card, get invoices, fix a failed payment, and switch dealerships on or off from Settings → Account → Billing & Plan (also Billing in the account menu).
Billing is managed by the Account Owner for your whole dealer group through Stripe. From here you change your plan, adjust how many dealerships you pay for, update your card, view invoices, and re-enable a dealership that was switched off. You reach it from Settings → Account → Billing & Plan, or from Billing in your account menu (your name and photo at the bottom of the left menu).
Account Owner only
Only the Account Owner can see or open Billing. Billing & Plan in Settings and Billing in the account menu are hidden from everyone else, managers included. If you need a plan or payment change and you are not the Account Owner, ask whoever owns the account, or contact support@auto-book.ca / 647-786-0989.
Opening the Billing page
1
Open **Settings**
Click your name and photo at the bottom of the left menu to open your account menu, and choose Settings.
2
Choose **Account → Billing & Plan**
Billing & Plan sits in the Account group, at the bottom of the Settings menu. The account menu also has a direct Billing shortcut. Either opens the subscription page for your dealer group.
What you can do here
Change your plan
Change plan opens the three plans (with the Service BDC add-on as a switch; it isn't available on Reception), highlights the one you are on, and applies your choice immediately; the difference is prorated onto your next invoice. Dealers on an earlier plan see their original picker with a dealership count, or can contact support and we switch them same-day. If the page ever looks out of date, Refresh from Stripe re-reads your subscription.
Update card & invoices
View invoices and manage billing opens the secure Stripe billing portal, where you update your payment method and download invoices. To cancel the subscription, contact support@auto-book.ca and we process it for you.
Turn a dealership on or off
The Dealerships and seats table lists every dealership, whether it Holds a seat, and an Enable or Disable button. This is how you switch a dealership back on. Disable asks you to confirm first (Cancel backs out).
The plans
Reception
AutoBook Agent on your website, answering 24/7 from your real inventory in any language, with real online booking, confirmations, reminders, and every lead captured even when a customer leaves mid-chat.
AI Communication
Everything in Reception, plus the conversation follows the customer: chat to text, SMS and email threads, one team inbox, AutoBook Agent answering your phones, and the full team loop (questions, handoffs and Approve first).
Autonomy
Everything above, plus follow-up AutoBook Agent starts on open deals, re-activation campaigns with honest results, and struck-out deals handed to a rep instead of dropped. Service BDC is an add-on that points the same machine at your service drive.
Locked features link here
Anywhere you see a feature marked Part of a plan, the See plans link brings you to this page. Upgrades take effect immediately; AutoBook Agent's new abilities switch on the moment the plan changes.
Changing your plan or adding a dealership
1
Click **Change plan**
In the Subscription section, click Change plan.
2
Pick a plan
Select the plan you want (and, on an earlier plan, how many dealerships it covers), then continue.
3
Review the summary
Nothing is charged today. The summary shows what lands On your next invoice (or a Credit on your next invoice if you're moving down) and what you'll pay Then per month. Click Confirm change to apply.
4
First-time setup
If you do not have an active subscription yet, confirming sends you to Stripe Checkout to enter payment. After you pay, you return to a short "Activating your subscription" screen while it confirms.
Lowering your dealership count
You cannot pay for fewer dealerships than you currently have active. Disable the extra dealership(s) in Dealerships and seats first, then reduce the count.
Switching a dealership off or back on
In Dealerships and seats, each dealership has an Enable or Disable button. A disabled dealership shows Currently Unavailable on its booking page and its chat widget stops appearing on the website. Its existing appointments are kept, and you can switch it back on at any time. If your subscription lapsed entirely, subscribing again re-enables your dealerships automatically up to the number your plan covers. You can only have as many dealerships active as your subscription covers; if a dealership will not enable, add a dealership to your plan with Change plan first.
What "disabled" means here
Disabling a dealership hides its booking page and chat widget for the whole dealership. This is different from a person's Customers can book switch on Staff & Roles, which only controls whether that one person shows on the booking page and never deactivates an account.
Fixing a failed payment or a paused subscription
A banner at the top of the Billing page says when something needs the Account Owner:
- Your last payment did not go through: Stripe retries the charge and features stay on meanwhile, but if every retry fails the subscription cancels. Click Update payment method and change the card.
- Your subscription is paused: AutoBook Agent and booking are off. Click Manage billing to resume.
- Your subscription has ended: AutoBook Agent and booking are off. Contact support@auto-book.ca to restart billing.
- Two active subscriptions are billing this account: email support and we cancel the duplicate and refund the overlap.
Where do I update my credit card?
Click View invoices and manage billing on the Billing page to open the Stripe billing portal, then update your payment method there. If a payment failed, the banner's Update payment method button takes you to the same place.
How do I get past invoices?
They live in the Stripe billing portal: open it from View invoices and manage billing and download any invoice.
How do I cancel?
To cancel, contact AutoBook support at support@auto-book.ca (or 647-786-0989) and we process the cancellation for you.
Is billing set per dealership?
No. Billing and your plan are configured once for the whole dealer group, even though most other AutoBook settings are configured per dealership. Your plan covers a set number of dealerships, which you adjust with Change plan.
I paid but the subscription still says it's activating.
Give it a minute, then click Refresh from Stripe. Confirmation from Stripe can take a moment. If it persists, contact support@auto-book.ca.
