On Settings → Dealership, set a store's brand, name, address and phone, its time zone and weekly hours, holiday closures and short days, and share the public staff directory link.
The Dealership page holds one store's identity and operating details: brand, name, address, phone, time zone, weekly hours, holidays, and the public staff directory link. Open Settings from your account menu (your name and photo at the bottom of the left menu; on a phone, the avatar top-right), then choose Dealership under Your store. Make sure the store you want is selected in the dealership switcher first: every store in a group is set up separately. Managers and administrators can edit it.
Changing store hours
1
Open Hours & timezone
Settings → Dealership, then click Hours & timezone in the page's section list (or scroll to it).
2
Set each day
Switch a day on to mark it open, then choose its open and close times (15-minute steps). A day switched off is Closed.
3
Save
Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the page. The time zone and hours save together.
Store hours drive the appointment times the booking page and AutoBook Agent offer, and AutoBook Agent's "we're open / we're closed" answers. They are also the clock for staff. Reply deadlines (such as 30 working minutes for the first reply to a new sales lead, or 60 for a service request) count each person's own hours, else their desk's hours, else these store hours. When AutoBook Agent asks a person a question by text or email, the wait is counted in open hours too. Sales and Service desks can have their own hours on Settings → Routing (Sales hours / Service hours); a desk with its own week uses it for its customers' answers and its own clocks, and these store hours for holidays.
Switch on every day you're open
A day you haven't switched on is closed: no bookings and no appointment times from AutoBook Agent that day. With no hours set at all, the section says No hours set yet and the store takes no bookings. Settings → Overview flags missing hours.
Setting holiday closures and special hours
1
Open Holidays & special hours
Settings → Dealership, then the Holidays & special hours section.
2
Use a suggestion
Upcoming statutory holidays are suggested, along with dates your DMS says the store is closed (tagged from your DMS). Click Closed to close that day, or Set hours to give it a short day.
3
Or add any date
Click Add date, pick the date, give it a name (for example Boxing Day), then switch it to closed or set its open and close times.
4
Save
Click Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the page. To remove a date, click the × on its row and save.
On a listed date, those hours replace the weekly hours for booking and for what AutoBook Agent tells customers about whether you're open. A closed date never counts toward anyone's reply deadline. Past dates fold away under Show past dates. Staff time off is separate: set it per person on Staff & Roles.
Setting the store's time zone
In Hours & timezone, pick the store's Timezone (Canadian and US zones are listed), then Save changes. That one setting drives everything time-shaped: the times AutoBook Agent quotes, booking availability, quiet hours for outgoing messages, reminder send times, staff hours and shifts, and the times in reports. Staff don't set their own time zone; they follow the store's.
Set this even if you're in Eastern time
If the time zone is left blank, the store runs on Eastern time (Toronto). That's fine for Eastern stores but makes booking and reminder times wrong anywhere else. Settings → Overview flags an unset time zone.
Changing the store's name, address, phone or brand
The Dealership information section holds the basics customers and AutoBook Agent rely on:
- Dealer group: the name of your whole group, shown across the app. Only the Account Owner can change it.
- Dealership name: used on the booking page, in emails, and when AutoBook Agent names the store. Renaming changes the display name only; booking links keep working.
- Brand: the make or makes the store is franchised to sell, main brand first (empty for an independent store). The store's manufacturer rates, model lineup and brand knowledge follow it.
- Street address, City, Province, Postal code, Country, Phone (the main store number).
Edit any field, then click Save changes in the bar at the bottom of the page.
Sharing the staff directory
The Staff directory row in Dealership information gives you a public page listing your store's team. Click Copy link to copy the address or Open to preview it. Share it on your website or Google Business Profile so customers can see who they'll be working with.
Who shows up on the directory
Someone at the store appears only if Customers can book is on in their staff sheet, they work at this store, and they have a profile photo. That switch means "appears on the booking page"; it is not an account on/off switch. If someone is missing, check those three on Settings → Staff & Roles.
What isn't on this page
- Setup readiness and the go-live checklist are on Settings → Overview.
- Who gets new customers, desk hours and after-hours handling are on Settings → Routing.
- Logo and colors are on Settings → Branding.
- Staff hours and time off are in each person's sheet on Settings → Staff & Roles.
I changed the time zone but old appointments still show the old time. Why?
Time zone changes apply going forward to new slots, reminders and answers. Appointments already booked keep the time they were booked for; adjust those individually if needed.
Why isn't a rep on the public staff directory?
Customers can book must be on in their staff sheet, they must work at this store, and they need a profile photo.
Does the time zone here sync with a calendar?
The store's time zone drives AutoBook's own booking and reminder times. Separately, reps can sync their own Outlook calendar from their account's Calendar page (Google Calendar is not supported).
Can I set different hours for service and sales?
Yes. The hours on this page are the store's general hours. On Settings → Routing, each desk's Desk hours can use the store's hours or have its own.
We're closed for a holiday. What do I change?
Add the date under Holidays & special hours and mark it Closed, then save. Don't switch the weekday off in the weekly hours, or you'll close every week.
