Your own page of tiles and charts, plus a live deals board whose columns can be plain-English questions AutoBook answers with a quote from the conversation. Built from work AutoBook Agent already did; nobody has to log anything.
Insights (left menu, under Reports) is your store's numbers page, built from work AutoBook Agent already did. Nothing on it depends on anyone remembering to log something. There are two areas: your grid of tiles and charts, and the deals board, a live spreadsheet of your deals.
Every number explains itself. The small info button on any tile says in plain English what is counted, over what period, and what is not known.
Your service numbers
The standard set includes a Service board on Insights (separate from the Service board page) with four tiles: service tickets opened, tickets closed, first replies (on time, late, or no reply) and the shop right now (cars in the shop, customers told their car is ready, cars ready and waiting more than a day, and overdue). Booked from chat can be split by desk. You can also ask Ask AI for any of these numbers.
Adding, hiding and moving tiles
You start with a standard set. It becomes yours the moment you change it, and nobody else sees or edits your grid.
- Add a tile: press Add tile, then Choose a tile (pick the metric, how to group it, the chart and any filters, with a live preview) or Create with Ask AI.
- Hide a tile: use the hide button on the tile. Tiles you added yourself can be removed.
- Move a tile: drag it, or use the arrow keys on its handle. The new order saves with an Undo.
- Start over: the ⋯ menu at the top has Reset to defaults, which puts the standard set back.
The window picker at the top (7 days, 30 days, 90 days) drives the whole page and starts at 30 days. A tile pinned to its own period says so on its face, and a filtered tile wears its filter as a chip, so a number that disagrees with the picker explains why.
Comparing with the previous period
Tick Compare with the previous period while customizing a tile, and it runs the same count over the window just before this one and shows the change. You can also just ask: "compare my sold tile with the previous period".
Two tiles don't offer it, on purpose: appointments and the pipeline. Both include what's still ahead (upcoming visits, deals still open), so their "previous period" would sweep in today's business and every comparison would read as a loss.
Seeing who is behind a number
On the pipeline tile, click a band to open the Sales pipeline on that column: "eleven in Visit booked" becomes the eleven. The sold / lost tile does the same once you view it as a table (click a row; See these rows ›). The pipeline page counts back from right now while the tile counts whole dealership days, so the two can differ slightly at the edges of the window.
Downloading a tile or board as CSV
Every tile and the deals board have Download CSV. The file is exactly what's on your screen, with a short header saying what it counts, over which window, for which store, and when you pulled it.
Getting your Insights tiles by email
1
Open your email settings
Press the gear (Email settings) on the Insights toolbar, or go to Account › Notifications and find My Insights email.
2
Pick one schedule
Every Monday, 8am, Monthly on the 1st, 8am, or Off. A weekly email covers the last week, a monthly one the month.
3
Choose the tiles
Switch each saved tile in or out, then save with the save bar. Deals boards can't be emailed.
Insights emails are per person. There is no store-wide switch: your schedule decides your email and nobody else's. A new schedule waits for its next date, so subscribing on a Monday afternoon means the first weekly email arrives the following Monday.
Sending a tile to another manager
Send to… on any tile or board delivers a copy to another manager on your team. It lands in their grid marked as from you, and it is fully theirs to change, schedule or delete. Later changes you make do not reach the copy you sent; send it again if you want them to have the new version.
Changing a tile with Edit with Ask
Edit with Ask on any tile (and on your own deals board) opens Ask AI with the request already started, naming that tile. Finish the sentence in plain English ("…group it by rep", "…only this month", "…make it a bar chart"), Ask AI proposes the change, and you confirm it. A standard tile you haven't customized simply becomes yours.
You can also start from nothing: "Make me an Insights tile showing bookings by rep this month." Ask AI proposes the tile, you confirm, and it's in your grid.
Asking a question of every deal (the deals board)
The deals board is the spreadsheet version of your Sales pipeline: the same live deals, laid flat. Pick its columns from the column library: customer, stage, rep, age, vehicle of interest, readiness, attention, appointment, outcome and gross, lost reason, source, cost and more. A new board opens with customer, stage, rep and age.
A column can be a question. Up to five, in plain English, ending with a question mark: "Was a test drive discussed?", "Did they mention a trade-in?". AutoBook reads each deal's conversation and answers Yes, No or Not clear from the conversation.
| The honesty rule | What it means for you |
|---|
It has to quote the conversation | Click any answer to see the exact line it rests on and who said it, with a link to that conversation. |
"Not clear" beats a guess | When the conversation doesn't say, the cell says so. AutoBook won't guess to fill the column. |
You can overrule it in one tap | Set Yes, No or Not clear yourself. Your answer wins from then on and shows it came from a rep; AutoBook's original is kept alongside. |
A stale answer admits it | Answers refresh within about an hour of a conversation moving. A cell that may describe an older version wears a dot and says so. |
Rewording retires the old answers | Change a question's wording and its old answers are retired, because they answered a different question. |
A new column fills in, it doesn't fail | First answers land within about an hour. Until then the cell says it hasn't been worked out yet, and you can answer it yourself. |
What sales reps see on Insights
A sales rep opening Insights gets the same page scoped to their own book: their appointments, their deals, their numbers, nothing about anyone else's. The server enforces that, on the web and in the app. Saved tiles, boards and the email are manager tools, so a rep's page ends there.
How each rep handled their customers
Insights counts the store's work. How each rep handled the customers who needed them (a rating from 1 to 5 with reasons and quotes, and which customers were dropped or reached late) is on Rep review, under Reports.
Where your dealership system fits
There is nothing to check here. AutoBook matches your dealership management system automatically: a sale it records closes our matching deal, and a sale it reverses reopens it. That's why the outcome numbers hold up without anyone marking deals by hand.
Can my manager see or change my grid?
No. Your grid is yours alone. The only way a tile moves between people is Send to…, which gives the other person their own separate copy.
Why does this tile show a different period than the picker?
It's pinned to its own window, which the tile says on its face. Unpin it to follow the 7 / 30 / 90 day picker again. A tile with a filter chip is showing a slice, not the whole store.
Why can't I compare my appointments or pipeline tile with the previous period?
Those two include what's still ahead, so their previous period would sweep in today's business and always show a loss. Every other tile offers the comparison.
Why did a question column answer "Not clear from the conversation"?
Because the conversation doesn't say. AutoBook has to quote a real line and won't guess. If you know the answer, set it yourself in one tap.
My Insights email never arrived.
Check Account › Notifications, under My Insights email: the schedule must be Every Monday, 8am or Monthly on the 1st, 8am (not Off), with at least one tile switched in. A new subscription waits for its next date.
Can I put more than five questions on a board?
No. A board carries at most five question columns. Make a second board if you need more.
Do I have to log anything for these numbers to work?
No. Everything is built from conversations, appointments and deals the system already recorded, plus what your dealership system reports back.
